Funki Fungi is recognised as a wholesome and quirky brand that aims to deliver unique Asian flavours that will cater to the taste buds of individuals who enjoy spicing things up in the kitchen. Inspired by the unique flavours of Asian cooking and its influence in Asian herbal medicine, the chosen item focuses on dried mushrooms, particularly on Shiitake mushroom, Maitake mushroom and Wood Ear fungus. With the strange and unappealing look of dried mushrooms, the concept of the series aims to celebrate their distinctive look and unique flavours when rehydrated. Taking a fresh and modern approach to the selection of dried fungus, the name ‘Funki Fungi’ was born, ultimately creating an inviting and quirky tone to the overall brand.
